Chapter 1 Installation

The installation process varies depending on what type of lace installation you are doing. A quick got2b install requires less time however,an installation with lace adhesive requires more time.  Here are tips and tricks for both installations.

Got2b Installation

  1. Start with a flat surface. We highly recommend braiding your hair in small cornrows, or sleeking it down. This avoids bulkiness when the wig is worn.
  2. Wear your wig cap. If you ordered a baddibeeyhair unit, 2 wig caps will be provided in your parcel.
  3. Cleanse the lace surface with rubbing alcohol. This removes any grease that can cause the lace to lift.
  4. Apply got2b hair spray. Let air dry or use a blow dryer on low heat. Repeat twice.
  5. Apply last layer and let air dry until your surface is tacky, place your lace on the surface and apply pressure with a head wrap.
  6. Let it melt for 10-15 min, lay your edges as desired!
  7. Style your hair and you’re good to go!

Lace Adhesive Installation

If you want your installation to last for weeks, we highly recommend our Hair Gum Adhesive.

The Baddibeeyhair ”Hair Gum Paste”  Lace adhesive is a must have for a long lasting & seamless install. Our Invisible adhesive dries clear resulting in a seamless and ”melted” installation.

  • Gives Extreme Hold
  • It is Humidity resistant
  • It is and Invisible Adhesive

However, an improper usage of the adhesive can result in a short lasting installation. Here are some important steps on how to properly use the adhesive:

  1. Start with a flat surface. We highly recommend braiding your hair in small cornrows, or sleeking it down. This avoids bulkiness when the wig is worn.
  2. Wear your wig cap. If you ordered a baddibeeyhair unit, 2 wig caps will be provided in your parcel
  3. Remove any sort of moisture on the applied area with rubbing alcohol. A clean surface makes the adhesive stick better, therefore removing all moisture from the applied area is important.
  4. Apply 3-5 thin layers of adhesive on surface area. It is important to apply thin layers of adhesive and to let it dry clear before applying the next layer. Avoid touching the adhesive area, as it can cause lumps and an uneven layer.
  5. Apply your lace on the adhesive area. Apply your lace gently on the adhesive area and gently rub with a comb.
  6. Apply a scarf to melt down your lace and adhesive. For a melted and seamless install, apply your scarf with pressure by tying it tight. Or, use an elastic band as a scarf for extra pressure. Let it melt for 10-15 min.

Precautions:

  1. To avoid getting adhesive on your natural hair, use the bald cap method.
  2. When tinting your lace (if necessary) avoid using a liquid foundation or concealer. Certain products include ingredients that can cause the glue to lift, we recommend you use a powder or lace tint instead.
  3. When laying your baby hairs, avoid using products that include alcohol as it can cause the adhesive to lift. For example, use an alcohol free mousse instead of a regular mousse.
  4. Keep in mind that the adhesive dries after approximately 48 hours. You should be extra careful and avoid liquids, oils, moisturizers & foundation on your lace. Remember to always wear a hair scarf for your lace and a hair bonnet.

Love,
